Luxury Travel Advisors are proud to offer some of the world’s most stunning and exclusive wilderness resorts.

Our luxury wilderness holidays offer an endless program of activities for the adventurous traveller.

Have you ever dreamed of sailing in the Galapagos Islands, fly fishing in Yellowstone National Park, sleeping in a Treehotel in Sweden, or climbing to the dramatic Taktshang Monastery built into a sheer cliff face at 3050m in Bhutan?

Alto Atacama

The lodge opened in 2007 and was considered one of the greatest architectural achievements in Chile, making Alto Atacama a truly indescribable place. The imposing mountain peaks that surround the lodge will give you a panorama of infinitely varying chromatic colours throughout the day. All followed by the total darkness and silence of the desert night, lit by a countless number of stars. It's a tribute to the Atacama desert a place where you can live, breath and learn about the desert, it's people and it's culture.

Built to blend seamlessly into its surroundings, appearing as part of the terracotta-coloured hills that rise behind it. The lodge offers over 30 cultural and adventure excursions, from bike rides to volcano treks, photo safaris to picnics at high-altitude salt lakes, and visits to geyser fields, amongst others. The lodge also boasts a private open deck telescope for stargazing. To relax the Spa features six outdoor pools, indoor and outdoor Jacuzzi, sauna and steam bath.

Explora Atacama

Four spectacular outdoor swimming pools are the place to cool off. A stay at Explora in Atacama comes on an all-inclusive basis and includes a number of excursions per day, tailored to one's personal interests by multilingual guides. On offer are horse riding in the sand dunes, sunset hiking to the Moon Valley, volcano climbing, cultural excursions, relaxing in Explora's private hot springs, and much more. Atacama is the ultimate destination for those looking for both adventure and natural beauty.

Set in a 700-mile-long desert amid six soaring volcanoes, the mile-and-a-half-high town of San Pedro de Atacama is close to the driest place on earth—in some parts of the Atacama Desert, it hasn't rained in more than a century. But there are oases: Guests can take guided excursions to hot springs and boiling geysers, or to the buoyant turquoise waters found at the nearby salt flats.

Explora's multilingual guides offer guests 5-7 excursion options per day, including hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, and visits to archaeological sites. To watch the world's best sunset, catch a 15-minute ride to Valle de la Luna, then hike an hour and a half through miniature sand mountains. Or if you really want to earn your pisco sour (a favoUrite Chilean cocktail), top 19,455-foot Volcán Licancábur. Rumor has it, there's a magical surprise in the crater lake at the summit.

Located at an elevation of 8,000 feet, the explora en Atacama lodge features 50 stylish, design rooms with Jacuzzis and boasting spectacular views of the desert, mountains and volcanoes. The high standard restaurant serves international cuisine and the bar and lounge area form a perfect place to exchange the adventure experiences of the day.
