Osteria La Canonica Cooking School

Our classes are kept deliberately small in order to guarantee personal attention and hands-on involvement. The atmosphere is interactive and informal, and at the end of the two-hour class you will taste what you and the chef have just made together. At the end of each session you will receive the recipes of the meal you prepared. Daily Schedule of Lessons: Morning: from 10am to 12pm | Afternoon: from 4pm to 6pm Maximum six participants. La Pasta Fresca Experience * Our Chef will reveal the secrets of “pasta fresca”; you will learn how to make different kinds of the most authentic Italian pasta and the most popular and delicious sauces as world famous and as tasteful as “sugo di pomodoro”.

Pizza Experience * With this lesson, you will learn the secret of making a delicious traditional pizza from scratch. You will start by learning how to prepare the dough and end by exploring a selection of toppings. Each pizza will be cooked in La Canonica’s brick oven.

Tuscan Meal Experience * With this lesson, you will learn not only how to prepare a three-course meal, but also pick up tips on how to play the perfect host by getting everything ready a day in advance. Once you know what can be prepared beforehand and the best way to store it, it is easy tomake a delectable Tuscan meal.

Forgotten Flavours * How do we get back to that simpler, more authentic world of kitchen craft? ‘Forgotten Flavors’ aims to do just that. Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco’s commitment to the preservation of rural Tuscan’s architectural heritage and landscape has been reflected in the kitchen.

Vegetarian Tuscany * Start the lesson at our on-site organic garden to discover the delicacies of our fertile earth and pick the freshest seasonal produces. Then bring these authentic flavours into the kitchen and learn how to prepare delicious vegetarian Tuscan dishes with the help of our Chef.
